Our Story
"We share a creative passion with our customers and take pride in helping them succeed."

In 2018 we introduced the PiBurn, and it became the most loved laser rotary attachment in the world.
At LensDigital, we are a team of laser enthusiasts and makers that share a common creative passion and a deep commitment to innovation. We specialize in design and production of various tools and devices used with laser engraving machines. Everything we sell is designed and built in-house in our Old Bridge, NJ shop.
Our work is driven by an unyielding commitment to our customers’ success.
We are based in Old Bridge, New Jersey, and design & build all our products right here in our shop. We prioritize quality product design, customer success, and fostering an incredibly supportive community.
Our Core Principles

How they got started in the business and why Len invented the PiBurn on the Riley Black Project Podcast:

How It All Started?
Since getting our first laser machine, we always wanted to engrave tumblers—so a rotary attachment was a must. But the options were either overpriced (some close to $1K with few justifiable features) or cheap and poorly made.
The affordable ones came with no instructions, unclear compatibility, and zero support from manufacturers. Frustrated, we set out to design a better solution. After extensive testing and iteration, we developed a rotary attachment that’s easy to use, highly durable, adaptable to various objects, and compatible with most laser engravers—without breaking the bank.

The Development Began!
When we began developing our rotary attachment in 2018, few designs existed. One standout was Bart’s Open Source Rotation Engraving Adapter on buildlog.net (2011), which used 2020 aluminum extrusions, 3D printed parts, rollers, and a stepper motor.
We liked the concept but wanted to improve it. Bart’s version required manually loosening and adjusting multiple screws—a slow, tedious process. So, we upgraded the design using v-slot locomotion, similar to what's found in 3D printers, for smoother and quicker adjustments.

Our First Rotary!
Our design uses 3 or 4 wheels gliding on v-groove aluminum extrusions—two on one side, one on the other—for an ideal balance of adjustability and rigidity. We also added a front clamp and end stops to prevent the object from shifting during rotation ("walking"). Placing the stepper motor in line with the object eliminates the need to mirror or rotate the image—what you see in the laser software is what you get.
At the time, it was the first rotary to combine a v-slot system with an integrated clamp and stoppers.

PiBurn Rotary

Presenting The PiBurn Rotary!
The first 3D design of the PiBurn Rotary was created in May 2018. After almost a year of refining, testing, and building numerous prototypes a KickStarter campaign was launched in February 2019. While the goal was not reached, but we have seen a real demand for a rotary like this so we just began making and selling it on our website. And we never stopped! We constantly keep tweaking and refining PiBurn. Every year we release newly redesigned versions, and usually every few months a new feature is added.
Probably the most common question we hear is “Will PiBurn work with my laser machine?
There’s not a single rotary attachment on the market that can guarantee you that it will work any laser engraver out there. Most Laser machine manufacturers will offer an attachment that works ONLY with their machine. The goal of PiBurn is to be compatible with as many machines as possible.
